Mechanical/Mechatronics Designer - Level 2

Qualifications:


  • College diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • 3D Modeling (Preferably SolidWorks)
  • Ability to follow process and procedure guidelines.
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Able to model and visualize moving components in 3D.
  • 4-5 years relevant engineering experience
  • Knowledge of welding and machining processes
  • Effective knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities include:


  • Prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing from 3D models.
  • Help interpret engineering changes from manufacturing to CAD.
  • Aide in composing and editing engineering documentation.
    • Creation of parts, assembly, service, and maintenance manuals
  • Create burn table nesting profiles for cutting sheet metal.
  • Assist in projects from kickoff to commissioning.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of design and test data, including BOMs, specifications, and testing reports.
  • Effectively communicate with vendors to streamline product implementation.
  • Provide help to production with Quality Assurance of various components.
  • Receive feedback from assembly floor or customers, determining root causes and proposing solutions.
  • Contribute positively to our current PDM vault system and help streamline our workflows.


Salary, Compensation & Work Schedule:


  • Salary: TBD based on experience
  • Permanent full-time position based on a 40-hour work week

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
